Over the past two months NOffLA and the Discover the Origin campaign have invited members to discover the wines of the Bourgogne region of France during special masterclasses taking place around the country. The master classes have been presented by wine expert Raymond Blake in Dublin, Cork and Galway, with one Dublin masterclass remaining this year.
The Discover the Origin initiative features a range of food and wines with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status, including Parma Ham, Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese, Bourgogne Wines, Port and Douro Wines. All unique in how they are produced using traditional methods, as well as for their taste and heritage.
The master classes have been enjoyed by all with many commenting on the quality of the products as well as the educational value and their eagerness to learn more about food and wine matching in the future.
