Application form for membership of the Irish Guild of Sommeliers.

If you would like to become a member of the Irish Guild of Sommeliers, please fill out this form and we will get in touch with you shortly.
  • To be completed by applicants in categories 1 & 2 & 5

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES AND SUBSCRIPTION RATES FROM 1ST APRIL 2004

1. SOMMELIER

Qualified individuals engaged occupationally in the service of wine and beverages; teachers and managers of sommeliers who have a professional background in the service of wine and beverages; individuals in occupations related to the service and sale of wines and beverages who have been promoted from sommelier.

2. TRADE MEMBER

Individuals working in organisations engaged in the wine and beverages trade, in a hotel, restaurant or inn trade, or in the services of food and drink in other trades.

3. ASSOCIATE MEMBER

Individuals with a sincere and keen interest in the knowledge and promotion of wine.

4. STUDENT MEMBER

Individuals engaged formally in the study of wine who on completion of their studies will be able to apply for Sommelier or Associate membership as appropriate at the time.

5. CORPORATE MEMBER

Corporate organisations engaged in the importation, sale or service of wines and beverages. Corporate membership covers up to five individual members of the organisation.

  2. Payment methods on acceptance by either Bankers Draft or Cheque)
  3. On E-Mailing this application form the Council will notify you re your acceptance into the Irish Guild of Sommeliers and advise payment details
